May 26, 2014 -- For the past six Sundays, UFAA members from New York City have been gathering in Union Square Park at what has been dubbed the Sunday Speak Outs. From four in the afternoon until eight at night each Sunday, UFAA members are reaching out to the public and dialoguing with anyone willing.

April 10th, 4pm - Hundreds of New Yorkers gathered on the steps of the New York Public Library in a show of opposition to the state budget deal that passed last month in the NY State Senate. The crowd was demonstrating specifically against the charter school deal, pushed by Governor Cuomo, which expands the space of privately owned charter schools on public school campuses.

Noon on Friday February 7th, two members of the New York chapter of the United Front Against Austerity (UFAA) attended a protest across the street from the New York Stock Exchange.

During the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington, members of the United Front Against Austerity (UFAA) joined forces with National Jobs for All Coalition and staffers from Congressman John Conyer’s office in support of legislative bill H.R. 1000 titled, the “Humphrey-Hawkins Full Employment and Training Act.”

This past week, UFAA members distributed nearly 500 flyers around various Manhattan and Queens college campuses, laying the groundwork for future campus agitation on Elizabeth Warren’s “Bank on Students Loan Fairness” Act.

On January 18, 2013, a member of the New York chapter of the United Front Against Austerity made a direct intervention into the Amalgamated Transit Union’s picket line outside of Tweed Courthouse at 52 Chambers Street.

Three members of the United Front Against Austerity delivered literature for the 1% Wall Street Sales Tax directly to staffers of Congressman Charlie Rangel’s Office today, and then proceeded to organize his constituents on the streets outside.

On December 10, 2012, 3 Members of the New York Chapter of the United Front Against Austerity made a pointed and direct intervention into the National Nurses Union Rally held at 780 Third Avenue, which are the Manhattan office’s of U.S. Senators Kirsten Gillibrand and Senator Charles “Chucky Boy” Schumer.
